Our 2022 Trojan Powerlifting Team is growing each year. The entire team did extremely well and even added State Runner-Up along with individual State Champions and record breakers to their list of accomplishments. The Trojans scored 35 points, the most in school history, claiming the Division V State Runner-Up title. The Lady Trojans finished 5th overall in Division V with 13 points. The powerlifting coaches are Duane Urbina, Robert Soileau and Jacob Reed.
 
The boys who are the State Champions in their category are: Jackson Manuel (new state record), Jesse Johnson (new state record), Jude Hebert. The State Runner-Up was Hunter Pitre (new state record). Other top finishers were Isiah Rion, Michael Fontenot, Colton Manuel, Dylan Doucet, Everett Johnson and Silas Chesne.
Adeline Launey was the Girls State Champion in her category and set two state records. Other top girl finishers were Madeline Fusilier, Lily Deshotel and Abby Quibodeaux.
