State Powerlifting Meet Results and A Message from Coach Urbina
The 2023 Sacred Heart Powerlifting season has officially ended and what a year it was! The boys and girls teams lifted in Lafayette at the Cajun Dome this past weekend in the 40th LHSPLA State Championships. What a Meet! Sacred Heart and Southside High School were the host schools for this event and it is being celebrated as one of the best ever. Over 170 plus schools participated and over 1000 lifters. Sacred Heart Boys finished 4th overall with 2 State Champions and 26 points while the Girls finished 3rd with 23 points and 3 State Champions. 5 total State Champions in one year is a new school record. Coach Urbina would like to send a special thanks to his Coaching Staff; Jacob Reed, Robert Soileau, Tracey Jagneaux and his wife, Tina Urbina. What a season.
