Trojan and Lady Trojan Basketball
 
We are so proud of our Trojan and Lady Trojan Basketball     players who advanced to the Quarter Finals as follows.
 
Boys’ All Parish Basketball Team:
Austin Darbonne - 2022 Ville Platte Gazette's Most Valuable Player for boys' basketball in Evangeline Parish. Austin was also selected as the Co-MVP for the District 5-1A season in which he scored the 1,000th point of his career. Austin was also named to the Boys’ First Team. Sam Fontenot and Chase Tate were selected to the Boys' Second Team.
 
Coach Josh Harper, Girls' Basketball Head Coach, has been named the 2022 Ville Platte Gazette's Coach of the Year for Evangeline Parish after leading his team to a postseason run after a three-win season a year ago. The Lady Trojans were also selected as the Girls' All Parish Basketball Team with Kali Shiver being named the 2022 Ville Platte Gazette's Most Valuable Player for girls' basketball in Evangeline Parish and was a crucial part to her team's turnaround. Jodie Landry was selected to the Girls' Second Team. Girls' First Team: Kali Shiver- Parish MVP and Girls' Second Team: Jodie Landry
 
SHS Boys and Girls’ All-District Basketball Players were selected as follows
Boys’ 1st Team All-District: Austin Darbonne-Co-MVP, Chase Tate -All-Defense and Bryce Deville, Sam Fontenot and Cole Tate - Honorable Mention
Girls’ 2nd Team All-District - Jodi Landry and Carley Cloud; Ava Johnson -  All Defense; Taylor Darbonne, Kali Shiver and Emily Stagg -
