Blessing of the Pets 2022 Sacred Heart Elementary held its Annual Blessing of the Pets on Monday, October 3rd. Father Killeen gave a special blessing to all of the pets. Prayer to St. Francis for Pets: Dear St. Francis, you loved all creatures great and small. You praised and blessed the Lord for the animals who shared your life. Joining our prayers to yours, we, too, thank and praise God for our pets. We give you thanks, God our Creator, for Your wonderful gifts: the birds and the fish, all creatures of the sea and sky, for animals wild and tame, for all our pets and the animals who help us live. Help us, Lord God, to treat with respect the world you have made and to love the creation you have entrusted to our care. Thank you for the joy creation brings! Teach us to love our pets and help us take good care of them. St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us and for our pets. We ask this through Christ, Our Lod. Amen.
